Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab, which means Tower of the Arabs, is the only 7 star hotel in the world. It is the popular global icon of Dubai. Architect Tom Wright has designed the hotel standing as the tallest building use solely as a hotel. This hotel was built in Jumeirah beach and was erected on an artificial island. At the top of the hotel, a suspended helipad was constructed. This helipad has been used by celebrities for tennis, music video and golf. For those who want to stay in the hotel, be ready to shell out $1,000 to over $28,000 per night.
Rose Tower
Rose Tower is the highest hotel in Dubai surpassing the Burj Al Arab's height. It proudly stands at 333 meters. It was in 2004, where the construction of the hotel began. Though almost operational, official grand opening of the hotel will be on April 2008. The architects who designed the Rose Tower are Khatib and Alami.
