The Third Line

The Third Line is a unique art gallery representing selected artists in the Middle East.

With a regular schedule of art exhibitions both in the gallery warehouse and outside locations, TTL attempts to create a platform for the furthering of contemporary art in Dubai and surrounding cities. Its goal is to interact between the artists and people of the region and to serve a growing collector base.

One of the department's main goals is to elevate photography to an artistic and conceptual level by giving the students freedom of expression and the means to experiment. TTL also offers corporate art consultancy and art management services, plus PR specific to art collections and art events.

An upcoming exhibition is the ‘Moving Walls.' This is a documentary Photography Exhibition which is sponsored by the Open Society Institute (OSI), a private foundation based in New York City. It features the work of seven photographers. The exhibition seeks to create a cross- cultural dialogue about the medium of documentary photography and its potential as a tool for advocacy. The Open Society Institute works to build vibrant and tolerant democracies whose governments are accountable to their citizens.
